Brittany-born of French and Vietnamese descent, Nada Le Hoang An is an independent designer based in Paris. Her designs are inspired by origamis, the Japanese art of paper-folding.

The unique shape of her work (without a single stitch) had caught my attention at an outdoor market in Paris. The following day, I visited Nada at her boutique-atelier in the 14th arrondissement. I watched her process, as she wore her gold-thriller glove, cleverly made to protect her hands from her sharp tools.

While she creates, her partner Jean-Baptiste promotes the line at every well-known market in town.

When they want to escape the hustle of the city, they pack up their household-camper van, including vendible goods, and drive out to their beloved hometown in Brittany.
